Summer Programs Award Ceremony

As part of the successful completion of both the Remedial Reading Program and the Beading Program, Sandy Hunter Library sponsored a Celebration Ceremony. All the beading creations were put on display and parents were invited to come to the library and participate in the ceremony.
Each child was given a certificate of recognition and as part of the Remedial Reading Program, each student received a final report card which charted the progress they had made over the four weeks.
The theme of the ceremony and the summer was, "Learning Together." A special thanks goes out to the women of Mamma's Group who made beautiful cupcakes and two delicious cakes with the theme written on them.
After the ceremony finished, guests were invited to nachos, soft drinks, and cupcakes. We were very lucky to have volunteers from the community come and assist with preparations and distributing the food. Pictured below is Hadassah, Romana, and Elena preparing plates to be handed out.

It was great to be able to celebrate with the children, the volunteers, and the parents who all helped to create two very successful programs and we look forward to continuing both in the summer of next year!
